Deciding to revisit a couple of my New Year's resolutions, I've been doing a little financial spring cleaning. Called and canceled two of my credit cards - one was a fancy department store card I've used once, the other was a mc from a certain financial institution that managed to annoy me to no end by changing my payment due date, rude customer service, and general lack of helpfulness in resolving a dispute (and I have nearly perfect credit, so they shouldn't be messing with me). I have to admit to a certain vindictive sense of glee when I called.
I also decided I needed to be saving a little more, especially since I want to go back to London for Pegasus 4 (and I'm not sure how long my part time job will last), so I gave up the fancy cable package. All I was really watching on that tier was SGA, and since itunes has SGA, enough said. Besides, I'm supposed to be studying for comps, not mindlessly watching another home decorating show. I will miss the DVR with its point-click recordability, but I am saving almost $55 a month, most of which will be transferred to my 'travel fund.' Hey, I might even be able to afford economy plus on my next trip.
